After years of bingeing/restricting from a as far back as I can remember I was at my lowest breaking point. I went to my GP a few weeks ago and broke down crying that I needed help and was offered a fat loss tablet and advised to join a slimming club. I came across Jamie's guide on Instagram at a time I really needed it and it felt like a sign. The guide has given me hope that I can finally overcome this problem. It is very easy to follow and I've enjoyed working through the practical elements which I've been able to translate into my day to day life. To even have someone acknowledge that binge eating is a real problem and not just a willpower/motivation issue felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. I still have work to do but I feel this programme has given me the tools to overcome any challenges I face in the future.

This course has been a game changer in helping shift my mindset and set me up for positive change. Coming out of a decade of yo-yo dieting with Slimming World and WW, I knew I needed to make a more sustainable lifestyle change but felt totally lost as to how to do that without restricting. The information in the course is in-depth but digestible (forgive the pun...) and I finished it feeling empowered and energised to care for and fuel my body. When I had questions, Jamie couldn't have been more approachable and helpful. He is hugely supportive and incredibly knowledgeable so you can rest easy knowing that, although tackling issues with binge eating can feel like quite an emotional & daunting prospect, you're in super safe hands! It's only been a few weeks but I'm already able to see change & I can't recommend it highly enough.

Expert Reviews

“I am a professional working in eating disorders and I would strongly recommend this course to clients experiencing binge eating. It is a well-designed, evidence based programme to support people on their journey to repair their relationship with food and their bodies. There is a really nice mix of videos, practical activities and research evidence to keep the course interesting and engaging and make it something you can come back to again and again. Balance has developed a programme which is both powerful and accessible to people who often will have bounced from terrible programme to terrible programme throughout their lives, receiving damaging mis-information along the way . For some this will be the last programme they will ever need. ”

FAQ

  • What is the goal of the course?

The goal of this course is to support you through a linear journey of discovery and empowerment towards a life free from binge eating. It requires hard work and, at times, may be uncomfortable, but it is through hard work and in this discomfort that you will find true progress and achieve life changing results.

  • I've struggled with binge eating on and off and I just feel really frustrated and lost with it all now; is this course right for me?

This course was designed with you in mind; it'll not only help you get to the root of why you binge eat but also allow you to pinpoint what triggers that in your day to day life, what you can do about it to reduce the frequency and severity of binge eating episodes and, overall, help you to reclaim back control and move towards food freedom and peace.

  • I am having a really tough time at the moment with binge eating and I'm having episodes nearly every day; is this course right for me?

This course would definitely help and provide a lot of clarity for why these issues have developed as well as giving you practical tools to do something about them and move towards a life free from binge eating. We would however encourage you to seek further support if you are struggling as sometimes it can be difficult to reflect and be objective when you're lost in the "fog" of negative talk around a binge and find that desire to take care of yourself when your self-esteem may have taken a serious knock.

  • How long does the course take?

The course can be completed within a fortnight but the great aspect of this course is that is a support tool you can always return to and the practical exercises were designed in a fashion that they can be used on an ongoing basis to ensure you can live a life where you are free of binge eating.

  • What is the cost of the course?

The first lesson of the course is absolutely free and we also have a free guide which you can download over on www.balanceie.com. The course itself will cost £199 and this can be paid upfront or in monthly installments.
